On Board Housekeeping Services (OBHS) is an initiative by Indian Railways to ensure cleanliness and hygiene in running trains. Launched as part of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, OBHS provides mechanized and manual cleaning services during the journey, passenger satisfaction.
OBHS teams are deployed on long-distance and express trains to perform real-time cleaning of coaches, toilets, vestibules, and other passenger areas. The system includes passenger feedback collection, staff monitoring, and service tracking — all aimed at delivering a consistently clean and pleasant travel experience.
